Real Estate

In recent years, the structures of land and project development have become increasingly sophisticated. Mixed commercial, residential, leisure and retail development over a vast area held under separate titles with the developer still controlling and managing the common property which includes infrastructure, utilities and telecommunications after completion and sale of the entire development is one example. Another would be where property development will co-exist with a railway station or rail lines which sit in the midst of, above or below the property development.

The Real Estate practice assists and leads its international and Malaysian clients through the legal issues applicable to such complex development projects.

We have experience in drafting and negotiating joint land development agreements, concession agreements, co-existence agreements and transit-oriented agreements.

Our multidisciplinary offering combines the expertise of our corporate, banking and finance, tax and construction lawyers in supporting our clients in achieving their commercial objective. We also act in disputes involving land acquisition and land law matters.
