Skrine x Project ID: Public Speaking Workshop

In collaboration with Project ID, Skrine recently conducted a Public Speaking Workshop for over 30 secondary school students from all over Malaysia. Our Skrinees Amirul Izzat bin Hasri, Sarah binti Azahar, Tan Wei Liang, Rachel Chiah, Rishikah Reggina Andrew, Wong Shun Yong, Wan Nabil Ikram bin Wan Zamri, Noor Maisyarah Binti Aziz, Ng You Xian, Sarah Aida Binti Mohammad Ali participated in the workshop which took place over Zoom on 7 October 2023.

The workshop commenced with a presentation by Amirul and Sarah on the preparation and delivery of an impactful speech. The students actively posed questions and shared their ideas and opinions, which made for a highly engaging session. They then went into breakout sessions, during which they presented on either of the following topics: (1) Social media is not as bad as it seems;  or (2) The importance of mental health awareness. Every student had their turn to give their speech and then received constructive feedback from the Skrine facilitators. The level of preparation and enthusiasm by the students were truly commendable.

We enjoyed getting to meet the students and were glad to hear that they had found the workshop useful and fun. A big thank you to the students, and to Project ID for having us!
