Our Partner, Ms. Jillian Chia who heads our Data Protection Practice and part of our TMT Practice Group was invited to be a panellist in a discussion organised by the Institute of Corporate Directors Malaysia (ICDM) last Friday, 8 September 2023 on ‘Raising Defences Against Financial Crime - Next Steps for Boards’.
 
As the issue of financial crime has become one of great concern in the digital age, it was a robust discussion with well-rounded perspectives from the distinguished panellists hailing from different industries. The panellists for the session included Mr. Choo Yoo Kwan, Risk Committee Chairman of HSBC Bank Malaysia Bhd, Mr. Lim Eng Seong, CEO of Prudential Assurance Malaysia Bhd and Dr. Carrine Teoh, Vice President of the CIO Association. The session was moderated by Ms. Reshmi Khurana, Managing Director, Forensics and Intelligence and Head of SEA of Kroll.
