CIDB Malaysia recently conducted a series of roadshows in relation to the CIDB Standard Form of Contract for Building Works (2022 Edition), which is a revision of the first edition that was published in 2000. Our Senior Associate, Rachel Chiah, was one of the speakers at the roadshows that took place at Johor and Sarawak on 10 October and 13 October respectively.  She joined a panel comprising senior representatives from industry stakeholders, including the Royal Institute of Surveyors Malaysia, Master Builders Association Malaysia, and Pertubuhan Arkitek Malaysia, to discuss the key changes that have been made as well as the collaborative contracting structure of the CIDB Standard Form of Contract for Building Works (2022 Edition).
 
Rachel is part of the firm’s Construction and Engineering practice group and specialises in the drafting and negotiation of contract documents for the project lifecycle. She currently sits on the Technical Advisory Committee overseeing the revision of the CIDB Standard Form of Contract.
