The Occupational Safety and Health (Amendment) Bill 2020 was passed and gazetted by the Parliament recently. The Amended OSHA will introduce significant amendments to the existing Occupational Health and Safety Act 1994 including increasing the protection to employees, placing additional responsibilities on employers to ensure the safety and health of their employees and increasing the penalties imposed on employers and directors.
