On 28 August 2019, 0ur partner, Jillian Chia, spoke at the Advertising + Marketing magazine’s Digital Marketing Asia conference that was held in Kuala Lumpur.
She spoke on the topic of striking the balance between data privacy and personalisation. She provided an overview key privacy and data protection laws in Malaysia, particularly from an advertising perspective and the presentation also discussed the legal aspects pertaining to use of data for marketing, data analytics and personalisation. Jillian concluded the presentation with key takeaways and considerations to avoid being in breach of data protection laws.
