Securities Commission issues 14th revision of Licensing Handbook

The Securities Commission Malaysia issued the 14th revision of its Licensing Handbook on 12 October 2022. The amendments in the latest revision of the Licensing Handbook came into effect immediately.
 
In essence, the amendments may be categorised into two categories, namely: 
  • to facilitate changes in the application and notification processes, including the use of new forms, arising from the extension of the Electronic Application System (EASy) under its second phase; and 

  • to effect housekeeping amendments to provide greater clarity and consistency and updating the Licensing Handbook to incorporate the amendment to the definition of sophisticated investors in Schedules 6 and 7 of the Capital Markets and Services Act 2007.
