Covid-19: Bursa Malaysia extends time for issuance of annual reports and audited financial statements for FYE 31 March 2020

Bursa Malaysia Berhad announced on 6 May 2020 that listed issuers on the Main Market, the ACE Market and the LEAP Market which have their financial year ending on 31 March 2020 will be granted a one month extension of time to issue their annual reports/ announcements and audited financial statements.  With this extension, the listed issuers concerned will now have until 31 August 2020, instead of 31 July 2020 to issue the aforesaid announcements/ documents.[1]

[1] Paragraph 9.23(1) of the Main Market Listing Requirements and Rule 9.23(1) of the ACE Market Listing Requirements require a listed issuer to issue its annual report and audited financial statements and related documents within four months from the close of its financial year, whereas Rule 6.13 of the LEAP Market Listing Requirements requires a listed issuer to issue an announcement containing the information set out in Part B of Appendix 6A and audited financial statements and related documents within four months from the close of its financial year.
