Transaction News: Australia’s leading data centre operator and ASX-listed NEXTDC picks Malaysia to set up their first international data centre

Australia’s leading data centre operator and Australian Securities Exchange listed NEXTDC Ltd, has selected Petaling Jaya in the State of Selangor, Malaysia to set up its first data centre outside Australia, known as KL1.
 
KL1 is poised to be the most technologically advanced, fault-tolerant, operationally reliable, secure and environmentally sustainable data centre in the region, and will be a Tier IV-certified data centre, the highest industry standards globally.
 
NEXTDC plans to invest approximately RM3 billion via the development of KL1, and will use Malaysia as its regional hub for its Asia expansion. NEXTDC is committed to digital skilling and educational initiatives to help to empower Malaysia’s ICT and digital workforce.
