The Trilogy of Malaysian Constitutional Law

A fortnight ago, the Chief Justice of the Federal Court, Tun Tengku Maimun binti Tuan Mat in her speech delivered at the golden jubilee celebrations of the Faculty of Law of the University of Malaya, referred to three recent decisions of the Federal Court, namely Semenyih Jaya, Indira Gandhi and Alma Nudo Atenza, as “the trilogy of cases”. As these cases are landmark decisions in Malaysian constitutional law, they can aptly be described as the Trilogy of Malaysian Constitutional Law.
