  • Representing local and foreign clients in employment disputes including claims of reinstatement to employment (arising from dismissals for misconduct/poor performance, constructive dismissals, retrenchments), breaches of confidentiality obligations and restrictive covenants.

  • Drafting or reviewing applicable human resource documentation including employment contracts, handbooks, human resource policies (such as cross-border / remote / flexible work arrangements), personal data notice and consents, to ensure both compliance with local laws and recommended practices.

  •  Advising on the requirements and obligations under the relevant local laws governing occupational safety and health.

  • Assisting on investigations into suspected fraud or non-compliance, including cooperation with internal and external investigations team and the relevant authorities.

  • Advice on disciplinary action to be taken in conjunction with the action by the relevant authorities or otherwise.

  • Acted as counsel in an appeal at the Court of Appeal against a forfeiture order of asset in favour of the Malaysian Palm Oil Board. 

  • Acted as counsel in a High Court trial of a defamation and conspiracy suit involving false allegations of child sexual abuse. 

  • Acted as co-counsel in an application for Anton-Piller Order and prohibitory injunction against former employees to restrain the use of confidential information. 

  • Assisted in various other civil litigation, appeal at the Court of Appeal and Federal Court leave applications.

  • Acted as counsel and assisted in resisting winding-up petitions, applications for Fortuna Injunction, stay and striking out of winding-up petitions.

  • Acted as counsel and assisted in resisting various personal bankruptcy matters.

  • Handled various high-value medical negligence claims including obtaining pre-action discovery orders for medical notes, procuring expert medical opinion and assisting counsel in trials.
