  • Representing local and foreign clients in employment disputes including claims for reinstatement to employment (arising from dismissals for misconduct, redundancy, and retrenchment). 

  • Assisted in reviewing of employment related documents, among others, employment contracts, handbooks, show cause letters, warning letters, suspension letters, redundancy letters, dismissal letters etc.

  • Assisted in investigations of multinational corporations into suspected fraud or non-compliance, including cooperation with internal and external investigation teams e.g. forensic/ surveillance teams; and the relevant authorities. 

  • Assisted in advising on disciplinary action to be taken in conjunction with the action by the relevant authorities or otherwise. 

  • Assisted in various fraud recovery actions against directors, employees and third parties who facilitated fraud and misappropriation of monies

  • Advised and assisted in immigration advisory work including on the employment of expatriates and foreign workers and on the issuance of various types of valid passes for long term stay in Malaysia and in obtaining the relevant work permits for the employees, as well as dependant passes for such employees’ family members

  • Acted as a junior counsel for a statutory body in appeals to the Court of Appeal in relation to applications to set aside an arbitration award arising from a concession agreement.

  • Acted as a junior counsel on behalf of an international company in the business of online hotel booking against its former employee for breach of contract, fraud, and negligence in carrying out his employment duties. [Hotel Travel Ltd & Anor v Chong Chung Yee [2021] 1 LNS 118]

  • Assisted in various other civil litigation, appeal at the Court of Appeal and Federal Court leave applications.

  • Assisted in drafting of cause papers for an arbitration commenced under the ICC Rules of Arbitration with a Geneva seat in respect of dispute arising out of an EPCC contract for a refinery and petrochemical development project.

  • Assisted in drafting of cause papers for an arbitration commenced under the AIAC Rules 2018 on behalf of a contractor against the government of Malaysia in respect construction contract of a hospital and health science college.

  • Assisted in enforcing an adjudication award rendered under CIPAA 2012 and resisting a setting aside and stay application under the same act.
