Skrine x Project ID: Negotiation Skills Online Workshop

On 21st August 2021, as part of Skrine’s social responsibility initiatives and collaboration with Project ID: Impianku Destinasiku, a team of Skrinees comprising Ann Tiang Wen En, Kalaiarasan Rasadurai, Rachel Chiah, Wei Liang T., Suhaib Ibrahim, Kar Man Ng, Sandhya Saravanan, Vanessa Ho, Sue Peng Chew, Alicia Ng, Claudia Syn Yue Nyon and Rishikah Reggina Andrew conducted an online Negotiation Skills Workshop via Zoom for a group of secondary school students from schools in West and East Malaysia.
 
The Skrine team kicked off the workshop with an introduction to the basics of negotiation skills and the negotiation process. It was an interactive session where the students had enthusiastically answered the questions posed to them throughout the introduction. The workshop then proceeded with a breakout session where the students participated in 2 negotiation exercises whereby the students played either the role of a parent or a child and tried to achieve their goals assigned to them. During the negotiation exercise, the students applied the negotiation skills and basic steps of negotiation which they had learned during the introduction. At the end of the workshop, there was a recap session where we reflected on the key takeaways from the workshop. The students responded positively stating that they found the workshop really fun and helpful.
