On 28 February 2019, our partner, Ivan Loo, presented the latest development on liquidated damages clauses in Malaysia. During the session, Ivan spoke on the recent Federal Court case of Cubic Electronics Sdn Bhd (in liquidation) v Mars Telecommunications Sdn Bhd which has changed the long-standing interpretation of Section 75 of the Contracts Act.  
 
Ivan co-heads the firm’s Construction and Engineering practice and appears as lead counsel in arbitration, adjudication and litigation proceedings on construction-related disputes.
