Our Partner and Head of Skrine's Privacy and Data Protection Practice, Jillian Chia, was invited by YBrs. Professor Dr. Nazri Kama, Commissioner of Personal Data Protection, to participate in the inaugural “Industry Insight Xchange with Commissioner” session in Putrajaya.

This session aimed to provide a platform for industry stakeholders to exchange views and experiences with the Commissioner regarding the enforcement of the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 [Act 709].

During the session, several key topics were discussed, including strategies for enhancing compliance awareness programs, enforcement measures, and preparations for implementing guidelines related to Artificial Intelligence (AI) such as Automated Decision Making (ADM), Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA), and Data Protection by Design (DPbD).
