On 10^th June 2021, our construction partner, Jocelyn Lim, spoke in a Kuala Lumpur Bar Committee (KLBC)’s Young Lawyers Committee panel discussion titled “Fight, Flight or Freeze?: Online Dispute Resolution During the Covid-19 Pandemic”. The panel discussion was also joined by New Sin Yew, an advocate from Messrs AmerBON and Michael Yap, partner from Messrs Tommy Thomas, as panel speakers.
 
All speakers shared about their experience and best practices in conducting online trials and hearings using various remote communication technologies. They also explored the need for pre-action protocols and supervising solicitors for examination of witnesses online, as well as other legal and practical issues.
 
The panel discussion was moderated by our dispute resolution senior associate, Tan Hui Wen, who is the current Co-Deputy Chairperson of the KLBC Young Lawyers Committee.
