On 29 September 2021, our senior associate, Tan Hui Wen, spoke at the 8th edition of the International Chamber of Commerce’s Young Arbitrators Forum (ICC YAF) Global Conference. Hui Wen was part of a panel discussion on “Tips for the young by the young!”, where she shared about procedural orders and witness preparation in arbitration.
 
Vivekananda Neelakantan, Partner (Foreign Law) of Allen & Gledhill LLP (Singapore) was moderator. Carmel Proudfoot, Senior Associate at Norton Rose Fulbright (Perth, Australia), Kabir Barat, Foreign Legal Associate at DLA Piper (Perth, Australia), Aanchal Basur, Partner of AB Law (India) and Dutsadee Dutsadeepanich, Attorney-at-Law at Tilleke & Gibbins (Thailand), were panellists. The Global Conference was the first 24-hour ICC YAF event with more than 1,000 participants registered.
 
Hui Wen served as ICC YAF Regional Representative for South Asia (2019 – 2021) at the International Chamber of Commerce Young Arbitrators Forum, where she was the sole representative from Malaysia. Her litigation and arbitration practice focuses on commercial disputes, land acquisition & assessment disputes, and aviation.
