On 6 July 2019, our partner, Leong Wai Hong, senior associate, Witter Yee, and associate, Brenda Chan, attended the Malaysian Bar PII Scheme: Panel Solicitor Meeting 2019 at Capri by Fraser, Johor Bahru.

Wai Hong gave a talk to a panel of lawyers, claims administrators , insurance brokers and insurers, on the landmark Federal Court case of Pushpaleela a/p R Selvarajah & Anor v Rajamani d/o Meyappa Chettiar and other appeals [2019] 2 MLJ 553, [2019] 2 AMR 442, where the Federal Court held that a solicitor does not owe a duty of care to a third party. He represented the insured practice in this appeal and was assisted by Brenda Chan.
