On 21 November 2019, Tan Shi Wen conducted a talk on “merger controls” for our clients at PWC in conjunction with their “Connect the Dots” program held for Partners, Directors and Managers to stay updated on industry developments. As an industry leader in Competition Law, Shi Wen was invited to give her insight into the competition concerns with regards to M&A deals following the advent of the merger controls provisions which are predicted to be introduced by the Malaysian Competition Commission next year. The presentation included a comparison between the current merger control regimes in the EU and the South East Asian region.
