On 21 February 2020, Skrine visited the Pertiwi Soup Kitchen with 13 members of the Skrine family. The event started with the team making their way to the first stop located beside the Loke Mansion.

There appeared to be more beneficiaries than usual as the queue for food didn’t quite seem to end. They were served with rice and curry, and a variety of other snacks such as sandwiches, cupcakes, buns and bananas. Each person had the choice of either cold, refreshing syrup or hot black coffee to have with their meal.

After approximately an hour, the team completed the first round of service and made their way to the second stop at Jalan Hang Lekiu. It was close to 11:45 p.m. when the event came to a close, with the volunteers heading back home after ending the long week with a fulfilling Friday night.

This visit kickstarts Skrine’s collaboration with Pertiwi Soup Kitchen for the Year 2020. We hope that the volunteers had a great time.
