Paddles Up! Skrine’s own dragon boat crew, the Skrine Dragons, took flight to the Land Below the Wind to compete in the 10th Sabah FCAS International Dragon Boat Race 2025, held at Likas Bay, Kota Kinabalu, on 17-18 May 2025.

Led by Captains Gooi Yang Shuh and Tan Wei Liang, the team competed in three categories: the 800m International Mixed Teams, 200m International Mixed Teams, and 200m Malaysian Women Teams. Our Dragons gave their all and achieved their personal best timings of the season in two of the categories! They achieved this while facing off against strong contenders, including the Royal Malaysian Police, DBKL, Bomba, and international teams from Hong Kong, Singapore and Brunei.

Keeping up our proud Firm tradition, the Skrine Dragons continue to bring together members of the Firm – partners, associates, pupils and staff – in a spirit of camaraderie and sportsmanship.
