We place a lot of emphasis on the professional development of our lawyers and pupils. The Skrine Professional Development Programme is overseen by a special committee of partners headed by
Kok Chee Kheong, who brings his knowledge and corporate experience of more than 30 years. The committee is supported by a legally-qualified Knowledge Management Officer.
This extensive programme is aimed at enhancing the skills and knowledge of our lawyers and pupils, to help them achieve a higher standard of professionalism and competency. The programme includes a minimum of two legal talks a month, across a wide range of established and emerging topics, as well as an annual calendar of global conferences. Our professional development programme is also accredited with the Bar Council Malaysia's Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and our lawyers and pupils will earn CPD points.
Our partners and senior lawyers complement the programme by attending and speaking at a myriad of international conferences, and sharing their learnings upon their return. This is further supplemented by the practice of actively sharing articles, reports and analysis by the global legal fraternity through internal channels, and our bespoke publications.
