Dewan Negara passes the Countervailing and Anti-Dumping Duties (Amendment) Bill 2025 - Update

The Countervailing and Anti-Dumping Duties (Amendment) Bill 2025 (“Bill”), which was passed by the Dewan Rakyat (House of Representatives) of the Malaysian Parliament on 26 August 2025, was passed by the Dewan Negara (Senate) on 10 September 2025.
 
The Bill will next be presented for Royal Assent and thereafter, gazetted into law and will come into operation on a date or dates to be appointed by the Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry.
