Legislation Update: Twelve Laws Gazetted

The following Acts were gazetted on 25 September 2024:
- Customs (Amendment) Act 2024
- Excise (Amendment) Act 2024
- Free Zones (Amendment) Act 2024
- Sales Tax (Amendment) Act 2024
- Service Tax (Amendment) Act 2024
- Audit (Amendment) Act 2024
- Penal Code (Amendment) Act 2024
- Criminal Procedure Code (Amendment) Act 2024
- Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (Amendment) Act 2024
- Employees’ Social Security (Amendment) Act 2024
- Employment Insurance System (Amendment) Act 2024
- Malaysian Aviation Commission (Dissolution) Act 2024
Each of the above-referred Acts will come into operation on a date to be appointed by the relevant Minister by notification in the
Gazette.
In respect of the Audit (Amendment) Act 2024, the relevant Minister may also appoint different dates for the coming into operation of different provisions of this Act.
