Covid-19: RMCO Regulations Amended

The Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases (Measures within Infected Local Areas) (No. 8) (Amendment) Regulations 2020 (‘Amendment Regulations’) were gazetted on 2 October 2020 and came into force on 3 October 2020.
 
The Amendment Regulations insert a new Regulation 4A into the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases (Measures within Infected Local Areas) (No. 8) Regulations 20201 (‘RMCO Regulations’).
 
The new Regulation 4A of the RMCO Regulations imposes control of movement within the State of Sabah for the period from 3 October 2020 to 16 October 2020. During this period, a person is allowed to move from one place to another within the same district in Sabah but a person is prohibited from moving from one district to another in Sabah except with the prior written permission of the police officer in charge of the police station nearest to the person’s residence.
