Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. (“AJG”) recently entered into an agreement with Aon plc (“Aon”) and Willis Tower Watson plc (“WTW”) to acquire certain reinsurance, specialty and retail brokerage operations of WTW for a total consideration of USD3.57 billion. The disposal of certain subsidiaries and assets of WTW is part of a proposed regulatory remedy for the Aon and WTW combination.
 
Skrine acted as Malaysian counsel for AJG in the Malaysian law aspects of this transaction.
