Proton has entered into a new joint venture with Altel Communications and EcarX (Hubei) Technology Co Ltd (EcarX) to establish a joint venture company to develop indigenous digital technology and car connectivity systems. It is reported that the joint venture company will provide research and development, sales and services of vehicle connectivity, digital cockpit, safety, autonomous vehicle and IoT technology related products.
