Skrine acted as Malaysian local counsel, supporting Cooley LLP, for NASDAQ listed SiTime Corporation (“SiTime”) in its acquisition of certain assets of the timing business of Renesas Electronics Corporation (“Renesas”). The transaction, which was a global transaction valued at USD3.0 billion, closed on 1 July 2026.
 
Following the acquisition, SiTime, being the only semiconductor company fully dedicated to all aspects of timing, expanded its portfolio with Renesas’ established timing business, built on a 30-year legacy of differentiated clocking products and a strong financial track record. Over the next 12 months, the business is expected to generate at least USD 300 million in revenue, supported by SiTime's sales and go-to-market expertise.
