Suspension of short-selling on Bursa Malaysia further extended to 31 December 2020

The Securities Commission Malaysia and Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad announced on 26 June 2020 that the suspension of Regulated Short-Selling, Intra-Day Short-Selling and Short-selling by Proprietary Day Traders on Bursa Malaysia will be further extended until 31 December 2020. The suspension of short-selling does not apply to Permitted Short-Selling[1].
 
The suspension of the aforesaid short-selling activities commenced on 24 March 2020 until 30 April 2020 and was subsequently extended until 30 June 2020.
