Gig Workers Bill becomes law but enforcement date to be determined later

The Gig Workers Bill 2025 became law as the Gig Workers Act 2025 upon Royal Assent being granted to the Bill on 16 December 20251. The provisions of the Act will come into operation on a date or dates to be appointed by the Minister of Human Resources by notification in the Gazette.
