Minimum Wages Order 2024 Coming into Force on 1 February 2025

The Minimum Wages Order 2024 (“MWO 2024”) [P.U.(A) 376/2024] was gazetted on 4 December 2024.

The first stage of the MWO 2024 will come into force on 1 February 2025 whereby the minimum monthly wages of RM 1,700 will apply to the following employers:

Employers who have 5 employees or more; and
Employers categorised as conducting professional activities under MASCO 2020¹ regardless of the number of employees they have.

The second stage of the MWO 2024 will come into force on 1 August 2025.
