The Data Sharing Bill 2024 (“Bill”) was passed by the Dewan Negara (Senate) on 19 December 2024 and will now be presented for Royal Assent of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong. Upon receipt of Royal Assent, the Bill will be gazetted to become law and will come into operation on a date to be appointed by the Minister of Digital.
