Skrine’s Restructuring and Insolvency practice draws from our vast experience and understanding of the restructuring and insolvency landscape. We provide comprehensive services in all aspects of restructuring and insolvency proceedings from pre-workout phase to litigation.
We have developed longstanding relationships with the industry's key players, namely the financial institutions and insolvency practitioners from accounting firms of all sizes. We also represent a whole range of stakeholders, including corporate debtors, investors and asset purchasers, secured and unsecured creditors, parties dealing with distressed businesses, officers and directors.
The practice is co-headed by Wong Chee Lin (a former High Court Judge of the Commercial and Civil Division of the High Court of Malaya at Kuala Lumpur) and Claudia Cheah, a recognised name in this field.
Our experience includes having acted in restructuring scheme involving debts in excess of RM1 billion, receiverships, liquidations, cross-border debt restructurings, and corporate rescue mechanisms. Our practice offers multi-disciplinary solutions, including dispute resolution, asset tracing, corporate advisory and corporate finance.
