Skrine’s Restructuring and Insolvency practice draws from our vast experience and understanding of the restructuring landscape. We provide comprehensive services in all aspects of restructuring and insolvency proceedings from pre-workout phase to litigation.
We have developed longstanding relationships with the industry's key players, namely the financial institutions and insolvency practitioners from the large accounting firms. We also represent a whole range of stakeholders, including corporate debtors, investors and asset purchasers, secured and unsecured creditors, parties dealing with distressed businesses, officers and directors.
The practice is spearheaded by Vinayaga Raj Rajaratnam, Claudia Cheah and Lee Shih, all recognised names in this field. Lee Shih has been described as “especially well regarded for his expertise in company law, as well as restructuring and insolvency cases” (Chambers Asia-Pacific).
Our experience includes having acted in schemes of arrangement involving debts in excess of RM1 billion, receiverships, liquidations, cross-border debt restructurings, and corporate rescue mechanisms. Our practice offers multi-disciplinary solutions, spanning dispute resolution, asset tracing, corporate advisory and corporate finance.
In the field of personal bankruptcy, Trevor Jason Mark Padasian has more than 25 years of experience in acting for creditors.
