Competition

Our Competition practice has been at the forefront of competition law in Malaysia since the formulation of Malaysia’s competition policy and the enactment of the Competition Act 2010.  Our partners have been involved and had served on the government’s working group on the drafting of Malaysia’s competition laws. We have represented various companies and industry groups at the Malaysian Competition Commission (MyCC) in block exemptions applications, cartel and abuse of dominance investigations, and leniency applications.

We have also advised companies and trade associations on compliance with Malaysia’s competition laws and has conducted competition law audits, provided training and assisted in implementing competition compliance procedures for their Malaysian operations. Our clients include major international as well as local companies and government-linked corporations in various industries including pharmaceutical, shipping, insurance, ports, airports and fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG).
