Construction Litigation, Arbitration and Adjudication

Our construction disputes practice has an impressive presence in the field of construction arbitration and litigation, recognised for being “particularly adept in handling energy, construction and aviation related cases” (Chambers Asia-Pacific).  We are frequently instructed as counsel in arbitrations emanating from the construction, infrastructure, and energy sectors.
 
Our lawyers have extensive expertise in the handling of large-scale and technically complicated arbitration proceedings. We are well-versed with the rules and procedures particular to the various institutions as well as with ad hoc arbitrations. In addition, we have represented clients in challenges to arbitration awards in the Malaysian courts.
 
Besides acting in the capacity of counsel, our experienced lawyers also regularly accept appointments to act as arbitrators under the various institutional rules such as AIAC, SIAC and ICC.
 
In the field of adjudication, we actively represent clients in payment disputes arising from various types of construction contract at all levels of construction industry, including employers, contractors and sub-contractors. We act in all stages of the CIPAA process, from preparation of the relevant claims or responses to enforcement of adjudication decisions.
