The firm fielded three boats of 10-paddlers, one boat in the Men’s category and two boats in the Women’s category. The boats did admirably in the heats in the morning and one of the Women boats advanced from the heats to make it to the six-boat finals scheduled for later that afternoon.
In the finals, the SKRINE dragons secured fifth position, narrowly missing out on fourth place by just 0.3 seconds. The team had great fun at the competition and secured a cash prize for our fifth place finish. The team will now be carrying out its final training on Saturday 4 June before heading up for the Penang International Dragon Boat Festival on 11 and 12 June 2011.
