INTRODUCTION
Skrine’s environmental law practice advises on issues of compliance, advising on claims or liability in relation to contaminated land, directors’ liability for environmental and health and safety issues, environmental aspects of corporate transactions including due diligence audits as to legal compliance, instructing and reviewing assessments conducted by environmental consultants, dealing on behalf of clients with environmental and health and safety authorities on issues such as notices for non-compliance, determination of issues requiring interpretation by the authorities and defending companies and/or directors and other officers in prosecutions and consultations in relation to proposed new laws.
The practice also deals with corporate social responsibility issues in the context of risk management by corporations.
