Claudia Cheah, was invited as a moderator at the Malaysian Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (MAICSA) Regulatory Forum 2025 on 9 December 2025.
Claudia moderated the session titled “Cross-Border Insolvency – Navigating Complexities and Legal Frameworks”. This session delved into Malaysia’s evolving cross-border insolvency landscape and examined how global cooperation impacts local practice. Key discussions included:
• Lessons from recent cross-border insolvency cases
• Emerging reforms that could redefine the roles of directors, company secretaries, and liquidators
• New realities of corporate rescue and restructuring in a globalised economy
It was a well-attended session with more than 220 participants that highlighted the importance of collaboration and adaptability in today’s interconnected business environment.
