The Competition (Amendment) Bill 2026 and the Competition Commission (Amendment) Bill 2026 were passed by the Dewan Negara (Senate) of the Malaysian Parliament on 27 July 2026. The Bills will become law upon receipt of Royal Assent and will come into operation on a date to be appointed by the Minister of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living by notification in the Gazette.
