Notable Experience

• Advised a Chairman of a major bank regarding defamatory comment posted by Raja Petra Kamarudin on Malaysia Today's online news.

• Acted for AME Asset Holdings Sdn Bhd in a suit (which included defamation) against Perisai Petroleum Teknologi Bhd, which was subsequently settled amicably between parties in 2007.

• Acted for Sam Rainsy, the former Finance Minister of Cambodia, in a defamation suit against a Cambodian newspaper as well the editor, publisher and printers in Malaysia in 1994.

• Acted for Tay Khim Seng, a Member of Parliament for the MCA in a defamation suit filed against, amongst others, Lim Guan Eng of the DAP in 1997.

• Acted for the New Straits Times and its editors and reporters to defend defamations suits from 2008 onwards.

• Acted for Port Klang Authority in defending a defamation suit filed by Kuala Dimensi Sdn Bhd against Port Klang Authority and Pricewaterhousecoopers Advisory Services Sdn Bhd in 2009. This suit arose out of the multi-billion ringgit Port Klang Free Zone (PKFZ) scandal.

• Acted for Dato' Lee Hwa Beng and Port Klang Authority in defending a misfeasance in public office and defamation suit filed by Kuala Dimensi Sdn Bhd against Dato Sri Ong Tee Keat, Dato' Lee Hwa Beng and Port Klang Authority in 2009. This suit arose out of the multi-billion ringgit Port Klang Free Zone (PKFZ) scandal.

• Acted for Dato' Lee Hwa Beng in defending a defamation suit filed by Dato Seri Tiong King Sing in 2009. This suit arose out of the multi-billion ringgit Port Klang Free Zone (PKFZ) scandal.
