SKRINE was founded on 1st May 1963 as ‘Skrine & Co.’ by John Skrine, Stanley Peddie, Peter Mooney, William Donald Bewsher and Chin Yoong Chong. Embracing the advent of the computer age and modernisation of the nation, the Firm expanded in the 1970s and 1980s. By the 1990s, the Firm’s advocates and solicitors had increased by more than tenfold since its inception. Its practice also expanded into various areas of law, reflecting the depth and complexities of modern business and financial transactions.

In keeping with the changing times, “Skrine & Co.” became “Skrine” on 1st January, 2000.

The Firm today is one of the largest law firms in Malaysia with a vast exposure in a wide range of legal matters due to its 40 years of experience in the legal industry.
